I find people to be sexy when they don't even know it, when there's no arrogance about it ... and that's Ted. He's so professional, he's smart and he's kind. He has a goofy side that a lot of people may not know about, and I find that very sexy. -- Tamara Braun (SOD 2003)

THE TED KING PORTAL @ tedking.org is a website dedicated to the work of American actor Ted King. I am in no way affiliated with his person, his management, nor his family. Once again I know I’m late to the game. Been very tired this week and with a lot of errands to run. Also with Ted being on every day, it’s been a little difficult to keep up. But the stuff is here. I will make a comment below on Ted’s scenes this weekI also have an addition to the press section, which I’m hoping this weekend to get a little bit more caught up. I have a ton to add and no time to do it. The other reason these were so late, for the past week the station I watch the show on at two in the afternoon, kept putting up storm warnings over the show. At one point right over Ted’s face. I had to re-record two programs this week later at four due to this.
Hasn’t Ted been amazing this week? I’m sad the white shirt is gone. But I’m loving Ted as Tomas. I’m hoping he isn’t the one responsible for offing Marty (Susan Haskell). That would so offend me. I’m sick of seeing women being written as nutjobs who when they go off their nuts, they kidnap babies. Sparks of unoriginal writing. There were other ways to usher Marty off the canvas short of having her become unhinged. I know this was supposed to be a post about Ted, but I digressed. My woman power wanted a voice. Now back to the truly superficial. Dammit to Todd (Trevor St. John) for calling Tomas before he had the chance to seal the deal with Blair (Kassie DePaiva). Damn him to hell. I wanted another Ted shirtless scene and to see him have full out animal sex. We haven’t been treated to that since, if I recall correctly, his steamy scenes on GENERAL HOSPITAL with Tamara Braun as Lorenzo and Carly.
Just to add, I’ve been reading on various soap message boards Ted may be on his way out early. I’ve mostly been reading this on Soap Central‘s OLTL board and reiterrated on the ABC.GO board for the show. I’m not sure how accurate these rumors are, but nothing would surprise me at this point. Now I want to repeat this is just a rumor, not fact.
As promised, I have typed up and added [ 3 ] articles to the 2011 press section for April. You’ll find the scans linked through the article pages to the gallery. Or if you just want to go straight to the scans, just go to the sidebar and click the first three images in the Last Uploads section. That will get you to the individual pages.
Well, it’s finally here. I managed to get the last three episodes of ONE LIFE TO LIVE done up. Took all night, but …. I also have a new article on Ted for the press section. I’m not going to go on. I know you want the shirtless shots.
[ 498 ] SCREENCAPS: 03/14/2011 – ONE LIFE TO LIVE (the shirtless shots)
[ 001 ] MEDIA CLIP: 03/14/2011 – ONE LIFE TO LIVE (the shirtless clip)
I just wanted you to know I just got my computer back from the shop and I’m going to be trying to get Ted’s last two eppys done up tonight and online likely overnight. Fortunately, his is the only updates I need to do. Stephen Nichols hasn’t been on the last couple of days, so that will ease the workload significantly. Wouldn’t you know it, the first shirtless episode of Ted as Tomas and I didn’t have my damn computer to bring them to you! What are the odds on that one? I also have some press articles to get up that I’m hoping to get done tonight, if not tomorrow.
I have two new additions to the press section, yeah, like you couldn’t read that in the title, right? The links are listed below where you can find them in the press section and the scans are in the gallery. Check out the link to those scans on the individual pages. Or, you can look in the sidebar where the ‘latest images’ are and click on the first two tiles.
New interview with Ted on his ONE LIFE TO LIVE character Tomas. It’s with SOAP OPERA WEEKLY on everything from being a new dad to the way soaps and television in general are being put together, and revisiting old haunts. Preview below.
[ 001 ] PRESS SCAN: 01/25/2011 – AT A GLANCE: TOMAS
■ Ted King loves being Daddy to 3-month-old Ava. “She’s a love. Truly. I feel she has the face of an angel,” rhapsodizes the proud papa. “Her middle name is Celeste, and there is something very celestial about her; something heavenly about the way she looks.”
I’ve finally established the press section. There are a few articles there with scans to the original pages as they appeared in the magazines. Please feel free to click on the link in the menu at the top of the page to start reading.
This post is going to come as a shock to you guys considering that it’s the second post in so many days. Unheard of here, right? Don’t answer that.
I’m going to be starting to add pages to the site. Hopefully in the press section. What I’m going to do here is, unlike my Tamara Braun site where I’ve added the actual scan of the article to the actual page, I’m going to offer the link to the article if it is a scanned page in the gallery. If it is an online article, it’ll have the original page where it can be found. That way I can just give the basics of the article rather than a whole schmazzle in trying to provide the ‘ultiimate’ experience and get horribly behind as I have. I’m also going to to be getting to work on the gallery. I’m also going to be doing away with the formatting in the post titles I’ve had over the Cutnews posts to here. Instead of using the site’s name, which I think by now you know, I’m just going to cut straight to the point instead of beating around that old tired bush.
Ted made the ABC SOAPS IN DEPTH 100 Hottest Hunks issue. He was listed in two spots for playing both Lorenzo and Luis Alcazar. Problem is twofold: 1) He’s listed too far down the list. He should have been closer to the top ten. And 2) They got the identification wrong on the photos. They had Lorenzo without the beard and Luis with. We all know who had the beard and who didn’t. I hate it when Ted makes the soap magazines but they pretty much crap on him when they do. SID didn’t have an exit interview with him when he left GENERAL HOSPITAL and that they made an error in the photo identifications…. shameful. While I’m not not dismayed that Ted is getting more press in the soap magazines, I’d appreciate it if they’d get it right. Not too much to ask…. is it?
With PRISON BREAK set to air tomorrow night, I just wanted to give the head’s up on when the media will be up on the site. I’ll have the first screencaps up within the hour after the show ends. Which means no later than 11:00 PM Eastern Time. The clip will be ready on THE PORTAL: TED KING MEDIA later in the night. It takes about one hour to convert the clip to a usuable file size, then about an hour to extract however many scenes Ted will be in, then convert it to WMV format to upload to the site. Depending on how long the clip is, it usually takes about a half an hour for the database to add the clip and activate it. So it might be the next morning before the clip is available on the media site. I’m sorry for that inconvenience, but it’s the software I use.
So for now, is everyone waiting anxiously for Ted? I know I am. Congratulations to Ted on his new role. Here’s hoping Downey lasts a long time.
