I've always said that the door is always open, but I don't spend a lot of time thinking about it. I'm interested in big storylines, not small ones. -- Ted King (on speculation he'd be returning to General Hospital -- ABC SID 03/18/2008)

Does anyone know the Ted’s actual airdates since 22 June on? I’ve been out of the loop for a while due to some personal and other extraneous issues and really need to know when Ted was on. I’m trying to get the updates done but don’t know any of his airdates since the above date.
On other issue, for those wishing to view a possible blind item on Ted, please go to TED BLIND ITEM READ HERE. It’s a message board I’ve set up on my Tamara Braun site. I’ve added a section for Ted if you want to discuss. One thing though, I’ve had to heavily moderate who joins due to an impressive amount of spammers who seem to want to post about their penis enlargers, Asian porn sites and or minutae. So I’m going to have to do it this way so that only valid signups get through. So here’s what you have to do, use the CONTACT FORM on my Tamara site. Please cite what username you’ve signed up under in the comments section. Tell me perhaps who you are and why you love Ted otherwise I might not approve your subscription to the message board.
I usually like having these up on the day within about an hour or so of the airing, but I had some issues I had to deal with today. But here they finally are. Well, Tomas arrived in Llanview and may I say, he looks simply gorgeous. I love the glasses. Not sure if Ted actually needs them or if they’re part of the character. All I can say is they add a studious quality to Tomas. So far most of my favourite actors wear specs. Ted along with Mitch Pileggi and Stephen Nichols make them sexy as hell. Yep, think I’m gonna like Tomas…as long as he keep the glasses. Ted was in the preview for Monday’s episode and it is included in the clip.
Edited: I forgot to add this to the main post. As much as I’m sure that this pairing with Blair (Kassie DePaiva) will likely stir up the heat, I really do wish Tomas had been brought on for Kelly Cramer (Gina Tognoni). I really thought Gina would have been the better recast for Carly on GENERAL HOSPITAL when Tamara Braun left in 2005. Gina unfortunately was still under contract at GUIDING LIGHT as Dinah Marler. Instead we got Laura Wright who has totally digressed the character even further back than Sarah Brown’s version. If wishes were horses ….
My apologies for not having the media up for yesterday’s episode, but again I was having converting issues with THE PORTAL MEDIA site. I finally was able to upload and have the full clip convert. So here’s the screencaps and clips for Ted’s last two days. The other issue I was having was with the recording program I use. I noticed once I had the screencaps for the 21st up they were really washed out and I’ve had to do a lot of tweaking with the settings to get a good quality recording with a warmer feel to the source for the screencaps and the clip. I tried doing this with test recordings from the show during the week before Ted’s debut, but until they showed his set, I couldn’t get a good handle on the colour and brightness. I record and clip and cap up Stephen Nichols work on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS as uber tycoon Tucker McCall, and for some reason the way they tape the show it’s always warmer and I can get the setting perfect for perfect colour and effect. For some reason, I’m still having issues with Ted on ONE LIFE TO LIVE. I have a feeling until they actually bring him to Llanview and have him on some of the other sets that are brighter and more colourful, I’ll have to wing it day-to-day.
OKay, what’s the verdict? Do we like Tomas or not? I know I do. I love how quirky Ted is playing him. I don’t really think I’ve seen as quirky a character on any soap before. I don’t count Spinelli (Bradley Anderson) on GENERAL HOSPITAL because that’s just a little to way out there for me. I get the feeling he’s channelling Chad Lindberg who played Ash from SUPERNATURAL. You know Ash, “All business up front, party in the back.” But for me I love how Ted’s starting to build Tomas. I love the name too. Only the second Tomas I’ve loved. The other is Hugh Jackman’s Conquistador in Darren Aronofsky’s masterpiece, THE FOUNTAIN. When I heard the name I thought, “I love him already.” Yeah, I’m fickle. So do you love Tomas? About the only quibble I have with ONE LIFE TO LIVE so far is how quick the cuts are and how very short the segments are. One can’t get intimate with the characters or the scene due to how rapid fire they are. I guess I was spoiled back in the day on scenes like the gut wrenching courtroom scene with Judith Light when she played Karen Wolek when she told how she killed Marco Dane (the late Gerald Anthony) when Marco raped her. Ted’s scenes overall have been good, but I’d like to see some lanquishing a bit to get a feel for the character and a little longer exposition. THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS though takes its time to get a storyline told, is very good at giving us a little more grist to sink one’s teeth into. Okay, enough of my exposition. You want the goods…..

I’ve finally been able to upload the media for Ted’s debut episode of ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Not much for a debut but the obligatory few second view. More on Monday. My guess is that it’ll be Ted’s actual first full day. Just a little sidenote, I regularly post to Dan J. Kroll’s SOAPCENTRAL.COM boards. Well he has a weekly Sirius radio program where he interviews those in the soap world including actors, writers, some who give commentary on the soaps. Well yesterday he had a fan phone in show where fans could posit questions to him about upcoming plots and or major complaints about the direction their shows were going in. I was able to call in and ask some questions regarding Ted’s future on the show. Dan told me that in the next two weeks during sweeps, Tomas’ connection to Llanview would become known and we’d finally find out where he fits in the whole scheme. I’ve been able to download the MP3 of the show. I can post my portion upon request. I also asked questions about Ted’s former GENERAL HOSPITAL co-stars, Tamara Braun (Carly Corinthos) and Stephen Nichols (Stefan Cassadine).

I have the screencaps for Ted’s THE VIEW appearance. Though I’m pissed to say, I don’t have the clip. Apparenly my media host is having issued with all my sites. Their servers were hacked shortly after Christmas and it appeared all my files were gone, however, they were able to find my files and moved them to a more ::open air quotes:: secure ::close air quotes:: server. Well, in the process of moving them they’ve managed to screw up my media sites. I can add the videos but you just can’t view them…in fact, according to the message I get, the video technically isn’t there. So until they can get things back to normal like before the hacking, my pooch is how they say screwed. But all is not lost….. I do have the screencaps.
One note, I was really impressed with Ted in how he allowed us to see Maya and his beautiful little girl Ava. She’s a cutie pie. She’s got her mom’s looks and her dad’s eyes. It’s clear she’s the apple of her dad’s eye. About the only thing that I noticed about Ted is that he looked really tired. It looks like 2:00 AM feedings and having to move cross-country has made Ted just a liiiiiiiittle sleep deprived.
I’m going to be doing some maintenance on the site over the next few weeks, mainly on the gallery and other sections. So if something is looking hinky as you’re navigating, don’t be alarmed. I’m just toiling away in the background in the late night hours with a serious case of insomnia. My apologies. This is being done to prepare well in advance of Ted’s upcoming role on ONE LIFE TO LIVE. If anyone has any information as to what Ted’s character’s name is going to be, please use the comment section to let me know. There’s some speculation that it’s going to be someone named Luis, but I hardly doubt that given that he played a Luis on GENERAL HOSPITAL.
I’ve capped up one of Ted’s more recent guest appearances on the CBS crime show C.S.I. MIAMI, the one starring David Caruso. Ted played the part of Sam Gardner, an astronaut who gets himself deader than dead on the hood of a car. Reminds one of Ted’s demise as Luis Alcazar when Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) ditched Lorenzo’s twin brother over the rail of that balcony. I must say, in parts of this episode Ted has looked way better. He spends most of his time laid out on a slab as a stiff. This episode also starred Thad Luckinbill, JT Hallstrom of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS. Hope you have your stomach about you whilst viewing these screencaps. Clip to come later.

Ted has some images of him with various members of the SHOUTING SECRETS cast and crew. If you’d like to see them please hop on over to his official site (now linked in the sidebar): [ HERE ] . You’ll see him with his former GENERAL HOSPITAL co-star Tyler Christopher who played the part of Nikolas Cassadine.
More news of Ted’s iminent return to the role of Lorenzo Alcazar to GENERAL HOSPITAL. On the heels of the departure of Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing) comes news that Ted has been spotted in the building, spurring rumors of his return. Soap Central has the article here:
My own personal opinion: I think Ted would be nutty to return. With Rick Hearst being dropped down to recurring considering his tenure then eventual leaving (he’s since signed with The Bold and the Beautiful), and that Ric Lansing was never allowed a storyline outside of being Sonny’s brother, I’m reminded of something Ted said in one of his exit interviews with Soap Opera Weekly:
“I don’t think so, to be honest with you. I really don’t. Because there have been times where there’s a storyline there for a couple of months, something different, and they it always goes back to my role being opposite Sonny. There’s never an opportunity for my character to just go off and set up his own thing in Port Charles. Sonny doesn’t have to be an issue, but he always is. And really, what’s the reason? Sonny didn’t kill his brother (Luis Alcazar), Sonny didn’t kill his son (Diego), and Sonny didn’t kill his niece (Sage). He lost three people in this town, and Sonny didn’t kill any of them. Yet he’s always angry at Sonny. It doesn’t make any sense to me. At some point, I’ve got to go…. I had to take a long, hard look at what I’m doing on the show, and I did. I need to get out. This is not making me happy.”
I think the operative word in all of this is Sonny. Would Lorenzo actually be allowed a story outside of Sonny and Jason? Likely not. Given that Jason carried out the hit on Lorenzo at Sonny’s insistence, it’s more than likely Lorenzo would come back with a huge chip on his shoulder for Sonny and Jason, hence, back into the fire. Considering too that Ted just came off a successful run on PRISON BREAK, I seriously doubt that GENERAL HOSPITAL is the only offer Ted’s received. Consideration #2, that Robert Guza Jr. is incapable of crafting an intricate story not including Jason or Sonny and that he as well as Jill Farren Phelps, and Brian “BS” Frons give the hook to get the actor to sign/re-sign, then lie and do the turnabout (can anyone say Groundbreaking Lesbian Love Story), I’d pretty much say the writing in on the wall way before Ted would be signing on the dotted line.
The above is solely my take on the current state of affairs on daytime television and bear no relation to Ted or any of his decisions.
This one gets filed in the uncategorized because I’m not sure about it. According to many sources on the internet, Ted’s going to be returning to GENERAL HOSPITAL this summer. This was on Dayitme Confidential‘s spec page. According to other rumors I’m hearing about this, it says that Alcazar will return and shoot Jake, Jason’s son by Liz in cold blood. I highly doubt Ted would sign back up to do this storyline. With Alcazar’s history with children, the child he delivered at Kelly’s, the birth of Morgan, and Lila’s birth…. I seriously doubt the Alcazar we know and love would do this.
On another note, I’m sorry that I haven’t had up the last episode of PRISON BREAK, but I’ve been very busy of late and just haven’t had the time to do so. When I get them done, they’ll be here. Again, so sorry.
