UPDATE 12/17/2008:The Portal has learned that Ted has inked a deal to return to episodic television with the mysterious role of Downey on the FOX drama series, PRISON BREAK. His first airdate is scheduled for Monday 22 December 2008. Keep an eye here for further news.

THE TED KING PORTAL is looking for MPEG quality clips from Ted's time on the soap operas GENERAL HOSPITAL as both Lorenzo and Luis Alcazar. Also looking for clips of Ted's time on the soap opera's LOVING and THE CITY as Danny Roberts. The reason for needing MPEG quality is due to the ability to get better quality screencaps from the source. Lesser quality tends to depixelate and it's difficult to get good captures from them. TED KING PORTAL II PRISON BREAK — E4X17 THE MOTHER LODE SCREENCAPS
Ole blue eyes is back!!!!
I know I'm late, but I had a personal issue I had to see to this evening and couldn't get the episode off my PVR until late into the evening. The screencapping took a little longer than I'd anticipated but I'm positive the results will be well worth the wait. Our guy sure took a 'shit' lode of abuse from momma in this episode. As usual though, he remained calm, cool, and most of all, didn't sweat. I'm not sure but I'm positive Downey's cell phone is Lorenzo's. They looked the same and well....any reason to mention Alcazar is a plus. Unfortunately I couldn't get the episode clipped up. I'll work on that either this evening or tomorrow. I have a major update I have to get up on my Tamara Braun site and it's going to take me the better part of the morning to do so. Once again, when she's through on AMC, I'll be working more on Ted..... Er, um.... His site, not Ted himself. Awe shucks, I'm sure Maya won't mind. I'm including one preview cap from next week's episode. Ted is once again in back of momma looking appropriately 'guard-like'.

Don't forget that Ted returns as the mysterious Downey on PRISON BREAK tonight. Check your local listings for airtimes in your area. The Portal will have the screencaps and hopefully clips up after the airing.
Also, I'm hoping to get more done on the site. With Tamara Braun's time coming to a close on the ABC Soap Opera ALL MY CHILDREN, I'm hoping to be able to devote more time to this site. Keep checking in. All updates will be here. I'm also considering a change in the look of this site. Just considering it ....
Ted made the ABC SOAPS IN DEPTH 100 Hottest Hunks issue. He was listed in two spots for playing both Lorenzo and Luis Alcazar. Problem is twofold: 1) He's listed too far down the list. He should have been closer to the top ten. And 2) They got the identification wrong on the photos. They had Lorenzo without the beard and Luis with. We all know who had the beard and who didn't. I hate it when Ted makes the soap magazines but they pretty much crap on him when they do. SID didn't have an exit interview with him when he left GENERAL HOSPITAL and that they made an error in the photo identifications.... shameful. While I'm not not dismayed that Ted is getting more press in the soap magazines, I'd appreciate it if they'd get it right. Not too much to ask.... is it?
With great disappointment, I've had to add a validation key to the comments form. I've had a lot of spam with both my TAMARA OBSCURA and TED KING PORTAL sites that this has become necessary. So sorry for the inconvenience.

TED KING II 12/22/2008 — PRISON BREAK SCREENCAPS & MEDIA II E4X16 "THE SUNSHINE STATE"
WOW! Blink and you miss him! Ah well, our guy is back on the small screen and he'll be back for more. One could tell it was him even without the benefit of an actual frontal view. That posture, that hair, that walk.... It's our Ted King!!! The clip is done and ready to view. Given he was only in the one scene, it was easy.
One request though, if anyone knows when PRISON BREAK will be back in the spring, could you post here to let The Portal know.
TED KING PORTAL II "PRISON BREAK" SCREENCAPS & TED KING MEDIA CLIP
With PRISON BREAK set to air tomorrow night, I just wanted to give the head's up on when the media will be up on the site. I'll have the first screencaps up within the hour after the show ends. Which means no later than 11:00 PM Eastern Time. The clip will be ready on THE PORTAL: TED KING MEDIA later in the night. It takes about one hour to convert the clip to a usuable file size, then about an hour to extract however many scenes Ted will be in, then convert it to WMV format to upload to the site. Depending on how long the clip is, it usually takes about a half an hour for the database to add the clip and activate it. So it might be the next morning before the clip is available on the media site. I'm sorry for that inconvenience, but it's the software I use.
So for now, is everyone waiting anxiously for Ted? I know I am. Congratulations to Ted on his new role. Here's hoping Downey lasts a long time.
I know a lot of people are going to say, "Well, it's about time," but I really didn't see the need to get this site up and running considering that Ted hadn't been in anything since he left GENERAL HOSPITAL as resident thinking-woman's mobster, Lorenzo Alcazar. However, finding out that Ted has a newly minted spot on the FOX series PRISON BREAK, made me push harder to get this site online.
Now for the hinky parts. I have some things up in the GALLERY, but not updated with the exception of Ted's last KIng's Spin column, but I do promise, more is coming. With Ted's former GH castmate, Tamara Braun back on daytime in a big way as ALL MY CHILDREN's Reese Williams, it's been a little harder than usual to get things up on her site. Considering Ted's show has a weekly airing, I'll be able to update this site as it warrants. But I'll also try to get some things up as the time goes on. I will let you know here when I do. Also, a lot of things don't work right now, please be patient....they will.
I've also created a media site like OBSCURE MEDIA, the one I have for Tamara. The name if it is THE PORTAL: TED KING MEDIA. The banner under the introduction will take you there directly. So far, not much up with the exception of a few test files, which are Ted related. Each week, I'll be putting up Ted's PRISON BREAK clips, so keep watch. I will of course, post in the main where they are so you can go directly there.
