I just thought I’d post this for those who don’t know what’s going on with these two soaps. One has a lot to do with Ted in that she played a major character on ONE LIFE TO LIVE as Tomas Delgado. As you likely know by now, both soaps are on their way back to the airwaves. Well, sort of. Prospect Park and it’s Online Network have signed a deal with HULU and HULU Plus as well as iTunes to bring the shows to the fans online. Further Prospect Park has just announced they have sold the rights to air the shows in Canada via the FX channel. A great thing for us Canucks who up to this point have been left out of the loop. According to what I’ve heard about Ted reprising his role on ONE LIFE TO LIFE, he has no plans on going back to the soap as of this writing. He had been approached by Prospect Park, but he is so far not going to be part of the reboot.
Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Ted, Maya and Ava are going to be adding to their family. We here at The Portal congratulate Ted, Maya and Ava on their new arrival expected in April 2013.
Could be. Apparently with all the talk of Tomas with the return of Blair (Kassie DePavia) to GH, he might be. According to Maria Ciaccia at About.com, Ted will be returning to the soap for a short time. There is talk that Frank Valentini and Ron Carlivati are waiting for Ted’s deal with Prospect Park to end in January to sign him. Why does the deal have to end with Prospect Park? When contracts were being negotiated at the time ONE LIFE TO LIVE was supposed to be going online, Ted and several other OLTL stars had already signed with them and therefore technically they still belong to Prospect Park. There’s a bit of a problem there. If this is the case with Ted and Prospect Park then why are both Kassie DePavia and Florencia Lozano (Tea) appearing on GH? Curiouser and curiouser. Ted King (Lorenzo/Luis Alcazar) will be back on General Hospital as Blair’s fiancee, Tomas.
Needless to say, both Skye and Carly will be plenty surprised when they lay eyes on him.
As a huge fan of King’s, I wish he were back long-term.
On behalf of THE PORTAL, I’d like to wish Ted a happy 47th birthday. Here’s hoping he’s spending it with Maya and Ava and whoever else makes him happy. I hope he’s sitting back with a good glass of wine and a huge cake. He deserves it. Happy Birthday Ted.
It is with a sad heart THE PORTAL mourns with the rest of the soap world at the passing of John Ingle, portrayer of the curmudgeon Edward Quartermaine for the past two decades, has died. We wish to send our deepest condolences to Mr. Ingles’ family that includes five daughters, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. We’ll miss you Edward.
I know it’s been a while since I updated and I’m not entirely sure when I’m going to be doing so. I’m trying to get Ted’s episodes together in order to do the update so it’s a matter of time in getting them up. And unless I can get ONE LIFE TO LIVE here in Canada when it migrates to Prospect Park, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to continue after January 2012. I’ll keep you posted on that.
There’s one other thing here I need to say. It has to do with people taking the graphics from this site to use on other sites or as avatars…whatever. I have no qualms whatsoever about you taking images from the gallery to use in your own graphics projects or for other puposes. I have no control nor copyright over them, however, I’ve seen a proliferation of taking the graphics from my sites on others. What I mean by graphics, is the stuff in the banners of the gallery, main site and The Portal media site, or the sidebar here on the main site to use someplace else. I’m going to ask politely for you to not take those. They mean nothing to anywhere else outside of my site(s). I’ve done lightening and other things to use specifically here and were not meant for anywhere else. So please, don’t lift anything as far as that is concerened. I’ve already had two issues inside of a week where I’ve found my graphics someplace else. Again, while I don’t own the images the graphics came from, I do want the graphics to be exclusive to THIS site and not reposted elsewhere. I really don’t think this is much to ask. I’ve done more to provide images in the gallery for your use and I just don’t see the need to lift an image from a sidebar or anywhere else on this site to use someplace else. I don’t do that from others because a little 80×50 image means nothing to me if I didn’t manipulate it myself for my use. That’s all I’m asking. And I don’t think it’s too much.
I’m also considering what to do to update this site a bit. Freshen it up.
Does anyone know the Ted’s actual airdates since 22 June on? I’ve been out of the loop for a while due to some personal and other extraneous issues and really need to know when Ted was on. I’m trying to get the updates done but don’t know any of his airdates since the above date.
On other issue, for those wishing to view a possible blind item on Ted, please go to TED BLIND ITEM READ HERE. It’s a message board I’ve set up on my Tamara Braun site. I’ve added a section for Ted if you want to discuss. One thing though, I’ve had to heavily moderate who joins due to an impressive amount of spammers who seem to want to post about their penis enlargers, Asian porn sites and or minutae. So I’m going to have to do it this way so that only valid signups get through. So here’s what you have to do, use the CONTACT FORM on my Tamara site. Please cite what username you’ve signed up under in the comments section. Tell me perhaps who you are and why you love Ted otherwise I might not approve your subscription to the message board.
I know I’ve not made updates for the past week, and I’m so terribly sorry for that. There’s been an emotional upheaval in my life and it’s caused my auto-immune disorder Fibromyalgia to rear its ugly head in force. There’s also some issues going on with my apartment building that isn’t helping in the least and that’s why I’ve been generally just checking messages and such. I hope to have updates done sometime next week. Please be patient. In the meantime, I’ve reactivated the TAMARA OBSCURA FORUM. I’ve added a section for Ted there. Why not a forum for Ted? Well, I have a lot of people I like and thought that it would be easier to just consolidate. One thing, if you’re going to sign up, please try to keep it as a name I recognize so that I can activate your subscription. I’ve had to keep the forum strictly moderated due to the amount of spam and bot signups that only are there to post porn or other insideous things that are hard to get rid of. I’ve had to strip the forum of at least 700 posts from porn sites and erection aids in order to scrub it clean. So that’s the skinny. I’m hoping the issue with my apartment settles itself soon. I really need som peace for a while.
My apologies for not having updated in a while, but things just got really backlogged and I always told myself if that did happen my Tamara Braun site would take precident over my others. So that’s the reason for the delinquency. Also I’m totally bored with the direction Ted’s storyline is taking. A wife? Is that the only thing Ron Carvalati could come up with? A wife? Like that one hasn’t been done before. Quite honestly, I’d love to see Ted back as Lorenzo on GH rather than this. Yeah I know, “But Ted’s getting story, that’s all that counts…right?” I’d have to agree with that reasoning, however, this whole “I have a wife I’ve never told you about” is sort of been done to death, and with OLTL having only months left, I’d have hoped they’d have had something more original. I know it’s asking too much, but come on! This is a bit ridunkulous doncha think? Yeah…didn’t think so.
I also wanted to address the flood of comments I’ve been getting from one person who believes it’s more productive to pester me with countless comments about when the screencaps and clips will be available. While I understand the aspect of being excited to see these caps and clips, and I do understand it, please note…it takes quite a bit of time to do both the screencaps and clips. It’s not a snap and it’s done aspect. It does take some time and considering that I also have four other sites I work on, I need to be able to apportion my time on each site. While it may take some time to get the updates done, don’t flood me and keep changing your IP when I ban you for being a pest. And like I said above, my Tamara Braun site takes precidence. Always and Tamara’s episode count is higher than Ted’s at current and takes longer to cap and clip. I’m willing to unban you, however, know this: I will not stand for anymore flooding and disrespecting me. I told you before, I’m not an ATM machine. The updates will be done when they get done. And like I pointed out another time, I also have a personal and private life that I value and need to keep me balanced during my online endeavours. If you cannot respect that, then I’m afraid I’ll have to keep banning you until you finally get it.
I also wanted to let you know I’m working on getting all of Ted’s PRISON BREAK episodes done. I have HI RES versions of the episodes and am redoing the screencaps in a higher resolution for the gallery. I’ll be deleting the ones already there and posting the better ones. The same will go for The Portal Media Site. So if you seen anything hinky going on, don’t fret. I’m not taking stuff away, but making things better. Stay tuned….. Here are the updates……
Once again I know I’m late to the game. Been very tired this week and with a lot of errands to run. Also with Ted being on every day, it’s been a little difficult to keep up. But the stuff is here. I will make a comment below on Ted’s scenes this weekI also have an addition to the press section, which I’m hoping this weekend to get a little bit more caught up. I have a ton to add and no time to do it. The other reason these were so late, for the past week the station I watch the show on at two in the afternoon, kept putting up storm warnings over the show. At one point right over Ted’s face. I had to re-record two programs this week later at four due to this.
Hasn’t Ted been amazing this week? I’m sad the white shirt is gone. But I’m loving Ted as Tomas. I’m hoping he isn’t the one responsible for offing Marty (Susan Haskell). That would so offend me. I’m sick of seeing women being written as nutjobs who when they go off their nuts, they kidnap babies. Sparks of unoriginal writing. There were other ways to usher Marty off the canvas short of having her become unhinged. I know this was supposed to be a post about Ted, but I digressed. My woman power wanted a voice. Now back to the truly superficial. Dammit to Todd (Trevor St. John) for calling Tomas before he had the chance to seal the deal with Blair (Kassie DePaiva). Damn him to hell. I wanted another Ted shirtless scene and to see him have full out animal sex. We haven’t been treated to that since, if I recall correctly, his steamy scenes on GENERAL HOSPITAL with Tamara Braun as Lorenzo and Carly.
Just to add, I’ve been reading on various soap message boards Ted may be on his way out early. I’ve mostly been reading this on Soap Central‘s OLTL board and reiterrated on the ABC.GO board for the show. I’m not sure how accurate these rumors are, but nothing would surprise me at this point. Now I want to repeat this is just a rumor, not fact.
